Fighting crime has in general posture incredible difficulties to the law enforcement agencies. A review directed in Nigeria demonstrates that, one of the serious issues preventing the detailing and following of crime is the absence of an effective crime reporting platform between the law enforcement agencies and the general public. Hence, different crimes are left unreported, making incredible harms to lives and properties which could have been spared. For this, it is critical to outfit these open doors offered by the advancing innovation to moderate the pace of crime occurrences in Nigeria. This study proposes an Android Crime Reporting System, which coordinates the Google Map/Places APIs in reporting crime to a nearby police station. The developed application has proved to be in terms of timely intervention to a crime scene by law enforcement agencies and confidentiality of the person reporting the crime.
